My cat is a few months over 1 year old, and very small. I’ve noticed recently, in the past week, she seems to have gotten a lot clumsier, i.e. when she jumps off something, she doesn’t land very gracefully, she slips often, and she doesn’t like jumping up or trotting down the stairs. She’s normally very bubbly and nibble in nature, so this is strange. We got some new plants recently, but the other cat is doing fine with them as well so I doubt that’s the problem.
Is it possible the little one sustained an injury unknowingly? She’s never limping, but I do want to make sure she’s ok. Vet visits are very expensive so I’d like to gather as much possible information before resorting to that.
Important to add: her whiskers are perfect and her ears look very good. She doesn’t scratch at them at all like I normally see my cats do with an ear infection. Her scat is also fine. Physically speaking, she looks perfectly healthy and normal.
I have health insurance for my cats and they are very healthy. It’s wrong to be insulted on a quick judgement. I simply want to see what some possibilities are before the vet so I can help her in the meantime (made a vet appointment, but will have to wait a couple days). The plants are non-toxic to cats. I made very sure of this before purchasing them.
