I was readin on line and I read something about feline parvo, but I called the vets office and they told me that cats can’t get parvo! I am so lost at the time =( I have a kitten that is almost 5 weeks old he is sick (not puking or diareha) just laying around and will not eat off his mother =( What eles could be wrong with him? I have got 3 other kittens that are the same age and they all seem too be fine at the time. What should I do? I have no way to get too the vet at the time.

Kittens don’t get canine parvo, but they get a disease called panleukopenia which can give them similar symptoms. A 5 week old kitten that is sick…could be intestinal parasites…a vet really needs to check. Could also be infected with a disease such as feline leukemia from his mother. Some kittens have stronger immune systems than others, which is why not all the kittens may show signs of illness. There are also several respiratory viruses kittens are susceptible to. Without a vet check, there isn’t much you can do.
